An arts student named Shelbie Rassler rallied 74 socially-distanced classmates into a virtual orchestra to perform the classic song "What the World Needs Now is Love" (music by Burt Bacharach, lyrics by Hal David), and the result is amazing.

Rassler, who is originally from Florida, heard from dozens of musicians almost immediately, and the video even reached composer Bacharach (lyricist David died in 2012) and told NPR that he felt "very proud and honored to see my song performed by these extremely talented students."

ReplyDeleteAs for my display - I would hang the poster that I scraped off a concrete wall in 1989 in Berlin. The poster has a white background, and there is a big red heart in the middle. The heart is circled in black with lines like sun beams coming out from the circle in black and various other bright colors. Then in big writing at the top it says - "PRO" and at the bottom it says "PEACE." Then I would cover it with photos of my friends and family, and ask those outside to post their photos of friends and family. What would you display?
